Q: Does ARRID® antiperspirant deodorant have an expiration date?
A:
Since Arrid® products are proven to be stable for 3 years or more, an expiration date for our products is not required.
Q: Where can I buy ARRID®?
A: ARRID® is available at most food stores, mass merchandisers and drug stores. Just look for our familiar blue packaging!
Q: What is the difference between a deodorant and an antiperspirant?
A: A deodorant differs from an antiperspirant in that a deodorant provides odor protection only while an antiperspirant helps protect against both odor and reduce wetness caused by perspiration.
Q: Where does odor come from?
A:
Odor comes from the apocrine glands, which produce secretions that bacteria feed on. When the bacteria break down these nutrients, it causes undesirable odors.
Q: Which glands produce perspiration?
A: Perspiration is almost entirely secreted by the eccrine glands. Large amounts of fluids are released and tend to be clear with a pH in the higher acid range.
Q: Why do we perspire?
A: Our bodies perspire to control body temperature, eliminate lactic acid and to maintain moisture in the skin, preventing dryness and loss of elasticity.
Q: What is the active ingredient in ARRID® antiperspirant deodorant?
A: The active ingredient in our invisible solid, solid and clear gel products is Aluminum Zirconium Tetrachlorohydrex Gly. The active ingredient in our spray products is Aluminum Chlorohydrate. The active ingredient in our cream is Aluminum Sesquichlorohydrate.
